Dating Road Rules
Protecting yourself must always be your highest priority. Here are a few road rules for any kind of dating and please add your own.
1- Don’t post any profile, location or pics that might be shared with parents, jealous friends, companies you work for or any one reason. Delete any user you don’t trust or don’t like the conversation or delete yourself.
2- Don’t meet anyone you don’t know or trust except in a public place like a coffee shop or bar (not a bus station). Your safety is the most important part of this process. Bring a chaperone or friend who can see you at all times. Or sit near the bar where a you can alert the bartender/waiter/manager if you feel afraid.
3 – Make sure other people know where you are going, the name of the person you are meeting and have some text or call-in rules to make sure you are ok at all times. Check-in often to make sure you are safe.
4 – If you are uncomfortable, go see restaurant manager, call 911, if you do leave and make sure you are not followed or that the person knows your address or where you are going. If you think you are being followed, drive to a friend’s house, police station or public place to call the 911 and speak with the police and stay in your car with the doors locked. And due to the recent death of a girl getting in the wrong car which she thought was her ride share service, DO NOT get into any car unless you are sure you know the driver. We personally recommend you do not use ride sharing services get a personal friend to drive you there and back. Give them the ride sharing fee instead.
